Shadow in the Hallway

Shadow in the Hallway

A girl was home alone one evening when strange noises broke the quiet. At first, she brushed them off, but as they grew louder, unease settled in. Nervously, she grabbed her phone and began recording.

Suddenly, her bedroom door started to open and close on its own, creaking with every movement. Her chest tightened with fear, but curiosity got the better of her. She crept toward the door, stepping into the dimly lit hallway.

No one was there. Just silence. But at the far end of the hallway, she saw a black shadowy figure, standing completely still. Her breath caught as the figure seemed to watch her. Terrified, she stepped back into her room and slammed the door.

Gathering her courage, she glanced back through the glass door, hoping it was gone. It wasn’t. The apparition was closer now, its dark form unnervingly clear. Panic set in. She dove under her bed, trying to calm her trembling breaths.

A moment later, she heard it. The slow, deliberate steps of something moving toward her room. Through the glass door, she could see the figure standing there, watching her. Frozen in fear, she didn’t dare move, as the shadow lingered, unmoving, just beyond the fragile barrier.
